Core Web Vitals

Core Web Vitals are three Google metrics describing the user experience: how fast the main content appears (LCP), how fast the page responds to interaction, and how stable the layout is (whether elements "jump"). It is an official ranking factor.

Good scores mean not only a better Google position but also fewer bounces, a slow, "jumping" page puts people off. They are improved by, among other things, optimising images, caching and cutting unnecessary scripts.
